Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound pork sausage uncooked
  • 1 box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuit mix 11.35 ounces
  • cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • fresh parlsey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with a hand or stand mixer until smooth.
  • Add sausage, biscuit mix, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and the Cheddar Bay seasoning packet to the bowl. Mix until fully combined.
  • Scoop and roll the mixture into 1 to 1 ½ inch balls. You should get around 25 to 30 balls.
  • Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • (Optional) While baking, melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in chopped parsley. Brush the parsley butter over the hot sausage balls after baking for extra flavor.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For spicier sausage balls, use hot sausage or add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the mix.
